Heather Boucher, MA, CCC-SLP
Trauma-Informed Therapist + Embodied Transformation Coach
For much of my life, I lived in a quiet state of overwhelm - ruled by emotion, disconnected from my body, and unable to find steadiness within myself. My nervous system was doing its best to protect me, but I didn’t yet know how to listen to what it needed - my inner turbulence spilled into every part of my life. I unconsciously created chaos - in relationships, in work, in the way I moved through the world - because my system was constantly searching for safety it couldn’t find.
Becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist gave me a strong foundation in communication and human connection, but I still didn’t feel settled within myself. It wasn’t until I began studying nervous system regulation in depth that I started to understand how profoundly the body shapes our experience — how both my clients and I were perceiving the world through the state of our nervous systems. I began to see how dysregulation touches everything: how it colors perception, emotion, and connection. For me, it meant living mostly between fight-or-flight and shutdown, rarely landing in that balanced space of safety, presence, and authentic engagement. Living outside that space left me disconnected - not only from others, but from the fullness of life itself.
That realization opened a door. I followed it all the way to India, where I lived in an ashram and immersed myself in the study of Tantra at the Satya Loka School of Traditional Tantra. There, I learned to listen in a new way — not with my mind, but with my body. I discovered that healing wasn’t about striving or fixing; it was about slowing down, feeling deeply, and allowing what was already within me to come into awareness.
My journey continued as I became a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and began working with trauma release through the body. I also trained in Taoist and Tantric energy practices through Tao Tantric Arts and the Vital and Integrated Tantric Approach to sex, love, and relationship coaching. These teachings transformed my understanding of healing — showing me that true transformation is both a clearing and an awakening: releasing what no longer serves while activating the creative life-force energy that brings us fully alive.
As I practiced, my system began to open. I could feel my aliveness returning — a spark, a pulse, a current of energy moving freely through my body. My intuition deepened, my relationships found greater balance, and life began to flow with a sense of grace and play. I started to see my body not as something to control, but as a sacred, living expression of consciousness. The more I trusted this natural intelligence, the more layers softened and dissolved — revealing freedom, radiance, and vitality.
Today, I help others do the same. I am a trauma-informed therapist and embodied transformation coach, as well as a board-certified Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in social communication and nervous system regulation. My approach bridges modern science with ancient embodiment practices to help you feel safe in your body, reconnect with your energy, and live with authenticity, purpose, and flow.
I currently live and work between Newport Beach and Mill Valley, offering online sessions to individuals around the world who are ready to come home to themselves — to rediscover their body’s wisdom, awaken their creative energy, and live fully, freely, and alive..
